Altstadt-Markt and Engelchen-Markt
The capital of North Rhine-Westphalia hosts a Christmas Market consisting of different themed markets that strung together. More than 200 wooden stalls located in different parts of the city. One of them is the Marktplatz in the most important square in the historic centre overlooking the Renaissance-style town hall. A wide range of stalls with numerous craftspeople such as glassblowers, cabinet makers and ironworkers. The magical Engelchenmarkt is also known as the Angels’ Market because of its unique decoration.
